My name is

Melissa,

and I believe that art is one of the most powerful ways to connect a community, whether it is song, poem, painting, dance, or any of its thousand variations. Creativity speaks every language, transcends borders, and connects hearts. I hope to curate and continue that in my work.

My journey as a designer started in high school, when I joined ASB in my senior year. In Art Commission, our sole responsibility was to create posters, from work as simple as advertising school events to crafting 9x9' tearaways for football games and rallies, using paint markers to write in Times New Roman.

Now, my tools of choice are an iPad Air, Apple Pencil Pro, and a two monitor set up to run Adobe Creative Suite on. But I still tell story the same way: paying homage to local artists and history as best I can. For though its branches grow skyward, a tree is little without its roots.
